Yahaya Baruwa: “Inspiring One Million”

I had the opportunity to interview a young novelist Yahaya Baruwa. Besides his unorthodox methods of marketing his first book, what is perhaps most interesting was how a conflict / misunderstanding with his father shaped his journey as an author.

“Father and Son” by Cat Stevens, is a song on my Life’s Playlist. In a beautiful, yet sad way this musical piece reflects the tension and strain sometimes often felt between these family connections. It’s interesting how these groups of males -both well meaning- experience varying degrees of communication difficulties.
