2025

Regional Director’s Address
The GTA Mid-Region Men’s Conference took place at The Spring Community Church, 2431 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto, on June 14, 2025.
The annual conference aimed to provide a forum for men to support each other in addressing personal, emotional, and societal challenges. It assembled individuals from diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise who are well-versed in their respective domains and possessed practical life experiences. These experts engaged in discussions, shared their insights, and responded to participants’ inquiries.
The goal was to inspire and motivate attendees to overcome obstacles and challenges they may encounter, reinforcing the conviction that no issue is insurmountable. While primarily a motivational conference, it was important to recognize the church organization. Accordingly, we incorporate a biblical perspective when addressing societal issues.
The conference theme was: “Authenticity: The Delicate Balance.” Authenticity necessitates a delicate balance between remaining true to oneself and considering others’ responses. On one hand, being authentic can foster trust, deepen relationships, and promote a sense of freedom and self-acceptance. People often value honesty and genuineness, which can result in more meaningful connections and personal fulfillment.
Conversely, authenticity also entails the risk of vulnerability. Excessive openness or candor can attract criticism, judgment, or even exploitation. It may lead to conflict, particularly when one’s true self conflicts with social expectations, workplace norms, or the values of those around them.
It is crucial to note that this conference did not solely focus on theological matters. There was an exceptionally diverse lineup of speakers, including:
- Andrew E. Guy – Resiliency Coach, Author, Leadership and Development Trainer, serving as the keynote speaker.
- Bishop Kevin Cole – Senior Pastor, Abundant Life Gospel Centre, who provided both a historical theological perspectives of the main theme.
- Jermaine Morrison – Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, who discussed the issue of Authenticity vs Social Mask.

Rodney Pringle (GTA Mid Regional Director)
Thank you Rodney Pringle and Howard Clarke (Assistant GTA Regional Director) for organizing an informative and blessed conference. Good mental and spiritual health is an important value that we as men’s leaders in Eastern Canada seek to foster and promote.
