GTA Mid Region Men and Young Men’s Conference

The GTA Mid Regional family of churches Men’s Conference, will take place at The Spring Community Church, 2431 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto, on June 14, 2025.

Our annual conferences aim to provide a forum for men to support each other in addressing personal, emotional, and societal challenges. We assemble individuals from diverse backgrounds and fields of expertise who are well-versed in their respective domains and possess practical life experiences. These experts engage in discussions, share their insights, and respond to participants’ inquiries.

Our goal is to inspire and motivate attendees to overcome obstacles and challenges they may encounter, reinforcing the conviction that no issue is insurmountable. While primarily a motivational conference, it is important to recognize that we are a church group. Accordingly, we incorporate a biblical perspective when addressing certain societal issues.

This year’s conference theme is “Authenticity: The Delicate Balance.” We contend that authenticity necessitates a delicate balance between remaining true to oneself and considering others’ responses. On one hand, being authentic can foster trust, deepen relationships, and promote a sense of freedom and self-acceptance. People often value honesty and genuineness, which can result in more meaningful connections and personal fulfillment.

Conversely, authenticity also entails the risk of vulnerability. Excessive openness or candor can attract criticism, judgment, or even exploitation. It may lead to conflict, particularly when one’s true self conflicts with social expectations, workplace norms, or the values of those around them.

It is crucial to note that our conference will not solely focus on theological matters. We have an exceptionally diverse lineup of speakers, including:

  • Andrew E. Guy – Resiliency Coach, Author, Leadership and Development Trainer, serving as our keynote speaker.
  • Bishop Kevin Cole – Senior Pastor, Abundant Life Gospel Centre, who will provide historical theological perspectives throughout.
  • Jermaine Morrison – Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist, who will discuss the issue of Authenticity vs Social Mask.

The conference will be held from 9am to 1pm, is free of charge, and is open to everyone.
