My Life’s Mission

I have always been a Men’s Ministry leader at heart and during this journey the development of mentorship and ceremony programs naturally evolved.  I have preached, taught and conducted workshops on the topic of gender and masculinity, as well as having published articles in the Genesis Man Blog.  I received a BA in Education (NU), Music Education and a Minor in History (U of T).

Now, I am not an expert, but I have always had the desire to understand what truly is the masculine identity.  Amidst much debate and confusion over the matter, we are left instead with with a portrait of symptoms in the form of gender ambiguity, toxic masculinity and various social movements and reactions.

My desire is to teach, speak and write about masculinity, femininity and culture.  I want to influence culture and society specifically by helping to guide boys and men into an understanding of who and what they are.  I desire to organize and create and resources and mentorship opportunities.

My life’s mission is to impact culture and society with a Biblical construct of gender and relationships. The Genesis Man Project is a platform to explore such topics and share ideas.

Special Thanks

Now, I am very thankful to many people that have helped in so many ways in the development of the Genesis Man book and the launch of the Genesis Man Project.

Thanks to the Church of God of Prophecy organization and the National Bishop Woodrow Thompson and wife Pauline Thompson.  Also, Pastor Kevin Cole and the Abundantly Life Gospel Centre family have helped to incubate an environment for the growth of the Genesis Man.

There are many people (too many to name) who have helped to shape these concepts and walked beside me as we moved forward -making processes up as we went along. Furthermore, there are many young men who were courageous enough to try new things. They took the risk to receive mentorship, counselling and participate in ceremonies.  Where would I be without them?

Also, I have had a host of cheer leaders, but those who stand out most are Eudora and Fred Harriott (my mom and dad), Andrew Mahorn, Oliver Belnavis, Harvey Palmer, the late Bishop Newton Cole and Bishop A.R Morrison.

My sisters (whom I am very fond of) Pauline, Yvonne and June have had profound positive effects on me as the youngest and only boy growing up in my family.

Finally, my beautiful wife Francine and wonderful children Joshua, Timaya, Jessica and Isabella have been an essential service to my well being and have provided me with the opportunity and context to live out my masculinity.

Last, but first, I am thankful to my Father and His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit.  This “Relationship” is the key driving force of my life and existence as a man.

  2. Thanks so much for your encouraging words. These are topics close to my heart, and I don’t generate money from the blog. I did however launch a book on Amazon.
